Benefits of studying with ACBC

Benefits of studying with ACBC

Studying with ACBC in Australia can create many opportunities for international students. Our vocational courses are designed so that our graduates can demonstrate the skill sets that employers require for employment in many industries and job types.

Our courses also provide foundations for further study at leading Australian Universities. Selected ACBC courses have been approved for guaranteed credit points for entry into a wide range of Bachelor programs (pending general university and VISA application requirements).

Work in Australia after you graduate from ACBC! YES! It’s possible!

After studying at ACBC, eligible students can apply for a visa (subclass 485) for up to 18 months of post-study work and travel in Australia. The Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) enables applicants to nominate an occupation from the Australian government’s Medium and Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). There are 178 occupations on this list (at October 2017). This means that you may be able to take a ‘gap year’ and put your skills to work straight away, or combine work and travel and see more of Australia. What a great way to get even more out of your visit to Australia.

One of the great things about ACBC vocational courses is that they give you the skills and knowledge to apply in the workplace straight away. If you participate in the ACBC Work Placement program as part of your course, you could gain practical hands-on experience while you study, and fast track to paid work (pending VISA approval and employer demand).

If you are successful in approval for a Subclass 485 visa after study with ACBC, you will be able to ‘test the water’ for the career of your dreams while you are earning, and take some time to make an informed decision for which Bachelor program will best suit you to continue your studies in Australia. Students interested in applying for a 485 visa after their VET study with ACBC should make their own enquiries regarding the availability of opportunities in the occupations on the MLTSSL.
